Amogene C (Castle) Testerman
1929—2023

Amogene C. Testerman, age 93, of Prestonsburg, passed away July 16, 2023.

She was born July 28, 1929, in Tomahawk to the late Garfield and Ethel Smith Castle. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Testerman, and one sister, Estalene Maynard.

She is survived by a brother-in-law, Raymond (Trudy) Testerman, a sister-in-law, Delcie Fitch and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Timmy Sheppard, Kim Prater, Kenny Mullins, Tim and Connie Sheppard, and her caregivers, known as “Jean’s Girls,” Millie Reagan, Bonnie Thacker, Patty Webb, Bonnie Davis, Rhonella Chafins, Beverly Sartin, Sheila Coleman, Allison Cantrell and Barbara Zeller. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 22, 2023, in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with words of comfort by Tommy Sammons. Burial was at the Sammons Cemetery on Big Elk Creek. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
