Father and son arrested on drug charges in Mingo County

BREEDEN, W.Va. — The Mingo County Sheriff’s Department arrested a father and son on various drug charges Tuesday.

Sheriff Joe Smith and deputies arrested Marvin Vance Sr. and Marvin Vance Jr. of Breeden after finding a large stash of drugs, firearms, cash and drug paraphernalia.

Vance Sr. was arrested on an outstanding warrant for delivery of a controlled substance schedule II.

In the course of Vance Sr.’s arrest, he and Vance Jr. received additional charges. Those include possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (fentanyl), possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (Suboxone), possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (gabapentin), conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance x3, person prohibited from possessing a firearm and keeping a drug house.
