Martin County Arrest Report

INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office made the following arrests:

Alesha Gamble

Alesha Gamble, 35, of Paintsville, was arrested Monday at White Oak Hill Recovery Center in Inez for menacing and public intoxication controlled substance (excludes alcohol). Sheriff Kirk reports Gamble left the rehabilitation center earlier Monday, and he located and returned her. At around 11:50 p.m., he found her again on Route 645 impaired. According to the police report, after the center accepted her back earlier Monday, Gamble refused to let supervisors search her purse, became irate and would not cooperate with the staff.

Gamble, who had been ordered to rehab under Casey’s Law, allegedly told police she had used Adipex and meth. The sheriff notes Gamble was “nervous and sweaty.” He also states she admitted to having the meth in her belongings and snorting it earlier.

Daniel K. Nelson

Daniel K. Nelson, 31, of Kermit, West Virginia, was arrested Monday in Inez on a bench warrant for court. Deputy Dennis Hall made the arrest.

Dallas L. Shell

Dallas L. Shell, 26, of Inez, was arrested Saturday at Horn’s BP, Tomahawk, for alcohol intoxication in a public place. Deputy J.C. Kirk responded to a complaint that Shell had been drinking and assaulted someone. The deputy reported that he located Shell at the edge of Milo Road, “acting extremely intoxicated.” According to the police report, Shell could not keep his balance, had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech, and failed the field sobriety test. Shell advised he had not hit anyone.

Benjamin Farmer

Benjamin Farmer, 30, of Beauty, was arrested Friday at Dempsey Apartments, Warfield, on a bench warrant for court. Deputy John C. Kirk made the arrest.

Michael Porter

Michael Porter, 32, of Warfield, was arrested Thursday for alcohol intoxication in a public place and buy or possession of drug paraphernalia.

James Maynard

James Maynard, 42, of Inez, was arrested Thursday on North Wolf Creek in Lovely on a bench warrant for court. Constable Bradford Preece made the arrest.

David Oquendo

David Oquendo, 44, of Debord, was arrested Thursday at the United States Penitentiary Big Sandy, Debord, on a bench warrant for court. Kidd made the arrest.

Tyrek Butler

Tyrek Butler, of Debord, was arrested July 12 at the United States Penitentiary Big Sandy, Debord, on a fugitive from another state warrant. Kidd made the arrest.

James D. Hoskins

James D. Hoskins, 36, of Manchester, was arrested July 11 at Zip Zone in Inez on a bench warrant out of Clay County. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest.

Mary S. Porter

Mary S. Porter, 50, of Debord, was arrested July 11 for public intoxication controlled substance and failure to appear for a misdemeanor.

Cecil Ray Diamond

Cecil Ray Diamond, 42, of Williamson, West Virginia, was arrested July 10 on Main Street, Inez, on a bench warrant for court. Deputy Linsday made the arrest.
