Eunice Faye Perry Runyon
1953—2023
Eunice Faye Perry Runyon, 70, of Kermit, West Virginia, passed away June 28, 2023, at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky.
Born Feb. 3, 1953, in Kermit, she was the daughter of the late General Harrison and Lydia Messer Perry. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Lee Runyon, and four sisters, Frances “Mook” Sturgell, Lucy Perry Williams and Lottie Perry, all of Kermit, and Bell Perry Kirk of Wayne, West Virginia. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Andy Perry and Junior Perry of Columbus, Ohio, and Jesse Perry of Wayne.
Eunice was a homemaker and a member of the Welcome Home Church.
Survivors include her two sons, Ronnie (Amy) Runyon of Fort Gay, West Virginia, and Johnny (Crystal Muncy) of Kermit, and a special grandson, Casey Runyon. Eunice also leaves behind her two brothers, Albert Perry of Kermit and Jennings (Barb) Perry of Columbus, Ohio, and five sisters, Cathy Perry, Elizabeth (Snook) Perry, and Tennessee (Dennis) Dillon, all of Kermit, Gusty (Jess) Perry of Breeden, West Virginia, and Myrtle (Jess) Waller of Columbus, Ohio. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 30, 2023, at the Welcome Home Church on Jennies Creek, with Freddie Messer Jr. officiating. Burial was at the General Perry Cemetery. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
