Pauletta Bowen

1970—2023

Pauletta Bowen, 52, of Martin County, went home to be with the Lord Monday, June 12, 2023, at King’s Daughters Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.

Born Aug. 1, 1970, she was the youngest daughter of the late Edward and Juanita (Whitt) Bowen.

Pauletta was a homemaker and caregiver of many, primarily of both of her parents.

She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Calf Creek United Baptist Church.

Pauletta loved to cut up, make people laugh, and ensure they had plenty to eat.

Survivors include her twin sister, Loretta (Mitchell) Bowen of Martin County and two additional sisters, Edwina (Charles) Spaulding and Vickie Lynn (Michael) Horn, both of Louisa; three brothers, Tommy (Carla) Bowen, Ronnie (Vickie Marie) Bowen and Timmy (Brenda) Bowen, all of Martin County; her nieces and nephews, Alicia, Brittany, Tamika, Jerra, Joe, Tiffany, Jarred, Ronnie, Kendra, Michaelea, Kent, Rhea, Amber Juanita, James and Jerry; an aunt, Wanda Warren; an uncle, Bill Whitt; a host of great nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

To know Pauletta was to love her, and all will greatly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 16, 2023, at the Calf Creek United Baptist Church, with Maurice Mills and Mike Horn officiating. Burial was at the family cemetery, under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
