Deputy David Adams responded to a call just before 2 p.m. of a stolen all-terrain vehicle at a residence on Rockhouse Road. When the deputy arrived at the scene, the victim, Fred Daniels, stated Mollett dropped Spence off at his residence, and Spence jumped on the ATV and took off. According to Daniels, he purchased the green-colored 2002 Honda Foreman 350 from Mollett and had a bill of sale dated June 12.
The deputy went to Mollett’s residence but did not find Mollett or Spence. However, he spoke to Mollett’s son, who allegedly stated that Daniels had the ATV for about a week. As the officer was speaking to Mollett’s son, Mollett went by in a white Ford Expedition with Spence following closely behind him on the stolen ATV.
According to the police report, Spence admitted signing the ATV to Daniels.
