Marilyn Maynard McCoy

1964—2023

Marilyn Maynard McCoy, age 59, of Barboursville, West Virginia, passed away June 18, 2023, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 8, 1964, in Louisa, Kentucky, to the late James Maynard and Lurie Bowen Maynard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clay McCoy; four brothers, Bobby Maynard, Wilburn Maynard, James Earl Maynard and Sidney Maynard; and one sister, Patricia Pridemore.

She is survived by two sons, Austin McCoy and Dylan McCoy, both of Ohio; two daughters, Merlin Williams of Barboursville and Melanie McCoy of Webb, West Virginia; three brothers, Glen Maynard of Inez, Kentucky, Russell Maynard of Dunlow, West Virginia, and Terry Maynard of Webb, and one sister, Ernestine Maynard of Webb. Eight grandchildren also survive her.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 23, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Webb Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Webb Cemetery. Friends may visit the church beginning at 1 p.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
