Resurfacing project begins this week

MARTIN COUNTY — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of lengthy delays along KY-3412 in Martin County for asphalt resurfacing.

Crews will resurface all of KY-3412, beginning at mile marker 0.00 and continuing through mile marker 1.6, ending at the intersection of KY 645.

Work will occur Tuesday and Wednesday (June 20 and 21) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

During this time, crews will pave the road at full width (approx. 16-18 feet). Traffic should expect delays of upwards of 20 minutes or more at a time.

Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route during working hours and watch for equipment and signage in the area.

Blacktop Industries has been contracted to perform the work. Work is subject to change based on weather conditions.
