Louisa man arrested on 20 counts of possessing child pornography

LOUISA — A 33-year-old Lawrence County man, Russell L. Pack, faces 20 counts of possessing child pornography after his arrest Thursday by the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch.

The arrest followed an investigation that uncovered Pack’s involvement in uploading sexually explicit images of minors online.

The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant Thursday at a residence in Louisa. During the search, law enforcement confiscated equipment Pack allegedly used to distribute child pornography. KSP sent the equipment to the forensic laboratory examination.

Pack formally faces 20 counts of possessing matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance. This offense is classified as a Class C felony, carrying a potential prison sentence of 5 to 10 years.

The Kentucky Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is a collaborative effort involving more than 26 local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
