INEZ — As the summer heats up, Martin County residents eagerly await Independence Day festivities. This year downtown Inez is set to come alive July 1 starting at 5:30 p.m. with a parade, music, food, family fun and fireworks.
The Kiwanis Club announced Thursday that it would sponsor the parade, fueling the excitement surrounding the upcoming celebration.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Martin County Public Library’s annual block party at the Collier Center promises a fun-filled experience.
The Kiwanis Club will be on hand to sell its famous lemonade, joining craft and food vendors in the Collier Center parking lot.
Music and the beats of a DJ will ensure a vibrant ambiance.
As the sun sets all eyes will turn toward the Inez Volunteer Fire Department’s annual fireworks display. The night sky will come alive at 9:45 p.m. with colors and patterns.
The fireworks will be launched from the hill at King Fisher Branch behind the Collier Center.
