The Martin County All-Stars Cal Ripken baseball teams will kick off All-Stars tournament play Thursday and Friday.

The 8U baseball games will be at Ramey Park in Magoffin County, while 10U and 12U games will be at Stonecrest in Prestonsburg.

Coaches from each division selected All-Stars for the District 3 Cal Ripken Tournament.

The tournament includes teams from Martin, Lawrence, Johnson, Magoffin and Pike counties. Drawings determine the brackets for each division.

The Martin County 8U Baseball All-Stars, coached by Chad Howell and Jesse Reed, drew a first-round bye and will play the winner of the Lawrence County vs. Johnson County game June 16 at 6 p.m.

Martin County 10U Baseball All-Stars, coached by Robert Howell, will play Belfry at 6 p.m. June 15.

Martin County 12U All-Stars, coached by Brady Endicott, will play Magoffin County at 6 p.m. June 15.

All-Stars softball games will be played in Johnson County, but the tournament bracket has not been released.

Jayla Dials will coach the Martin County Softball All-Stars.
