Alice Jude Slone

1953—2023

Alice Jude Slone, 70, of Proctorville, Ohio, formerly of Pilgrim, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia.

She was born Jan. 30, 1953, in Martin County, Kentucky, to the late David and Avonelle Tiller Jude. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one nephew. 

Alice is survived by her husband, Chalice Slone of Proctorville, Ohio; one son, Chalice Lee (Lowanda) Slone of Pilgrim; and two grandsons, David Slone of Pilgrim and Ryan Sartin Slone of Pikeville. She is also survived by two siblings, Mitchell (Rosie) Jude of Pilgrim and Hattie (Gordon) Slone of Lexington, and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the Callaham Funeral Home in Inez, with Lonnie Smith officiating. Burial was at the Jude Cemetery in Pilgrim, under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home.
