Sheriff honors volunteers
Martin County Sheriff John Kirk recognized several volunteer deputies last week for their years of selfless service to Martin County and his office. The sheriff presented each deputy with a certificate of appreciation, saying these men serve as an inspiration to all who have walked alongside them. He also treated them to dinner and gifted them a Case knife with double blades, one with their unit number inscribed and the other with their name. Pictured left to right: (front row) Gene Whitt, Ernie Fannin, Gerald Clark, (back row) Clinton Mullins, Lynn Slone, James Fredrick, Sheriff John Kirk and Charles Green.
