We want to take a minute and thank everyone for the food, calls, text messages, flowers and support over the last few days. We want to thank Crum Funeral Home as they did an amazing job; Blooms on Main for the casket spray as it was beautiful; Pastor Daniel Mayhew for taking care of the service; Jerry Sturgill for the beautiful singing; Wolf Creek Community Church and Trinity Freewill Baptist Church (RG Marcum); and Patty Murphy for all the help. Thank you to Brad Preece, Della Mills, Linda Chandler, Stephanie Sheppard and Anna Mayhew for all they did. Thank you to the DAV (Chapter 141) and the Kentucky State Police for making the funeral the best; Fresenius Dialysis Center, Karla M. Reno and Melanie Ward for the best care over the years; and the girls at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Thank you to all the family and friends who have been here with us to lend a helping hand while he was so sick. We appreciate everyone from the bottom of our hearts.
