INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests and citations:
Kenneth Jackson, 33, of Debord, was arrested Tuesday on a fugitive from another state warrant. Chief Deputy Chris Kidd served the warrant.
Jackie Haney, 28, of Debord, was arrested Monday for third-degree criminal trespassing.
John Pack, 19, of Warfield, was arrested April 29 at Warfield Park on a bench warrant for court. Kidd made the arrest.
Daniel Fitch, 22, of Salyersville, was cited April 29 on Airport Road in Davella for unlawful transaction with a minor and alcohol intoxication in a public place. Sheriff Kirk reported that Fitch was on the scene where four individuals under the age of 21 admitted to having alcohol. Fitch will answer the charge in court May 16.
Roy D. Minix, 50, of Salyersville, was cited April 29 on Airport Road in Davella for unlawful transaction with a minor and alcohol intoxication in a public place. Sheriff Kirk reported that Minix was on the scene where four individuals under the age of 21 admitted to having alcohol. Minix will answer the charge in court May 16.
Stephen Anthony Newsome, 20, of Prestonsburg, was cited April 29 on Airport Road in Davella for alcohol intoxication in a public place. Sheriff Kirk reported that Newsome was drinking alcohol in a public place. Newsome will answer the charge in court May 16.
Shawn Reynolds, 18, of Prestonsburg, was cited April 29 on Airport Road in Davella for alcohol intoxication in a public place. Sheriff Kirk reported Reynolds was drinking alcohol in a public place.
Will Hayden Reed, 21, of Salyersville, was cited April 29 for unlawful transaction with a minor and alcohol intoxication in a public place. Sheriff Kirk reported Reed was on the scene where four individuals under the age of 21 admitted to having alcohol. Reed will answer the charge in court May 16.
Jamie McNeely, 32, of Lovely, was arrested April 28 on Long Branch Road, Lovely, on a bench warrant for court and operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license. Deputy JC Kirk made the arrest.
Susan Cox, 56, of Debord, received a criminal summons April 28 in Davella to answer an indictment warrant June 1 in court. Deputy Billy Patrick served the summons.
Carol Davis, 66, of Inez, was arrested April 27 on Big Elk Road, Inez, for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (over 10 dosage units opiates) and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (less than 20 dosage units of drug unspecified).
Deputy Kidd and Deputy David Adams encountered Davis at her address as part of an investigation into a claim that she was trafficking her prescription medication. According to the police report, Davis permitted the officers to enter her residence, handed Kidd her Gabapentin and hydrocodone bottles that had been filled seven days earlier, and advised the pill count would be “way off.”
Kidd reported the Gabapentin bottle contained four pills, while the hydrocodone bottle was empty. When asked why 80 Gabapentin and 84 hydrocodone pills were missing, Davis allegedly said she had taken and sold the medicine.
The police report states Davis advised that she sold about 25 Gabapentin pills for $3 each and 25 hydrocodone for $9 each to help pay her car payment of $226 and half of her electric bill.
Richard Michael Maynard, 46, of Inez, was arrested April 27 on Blacklog Road, Inez, for public intoxication-controlled substance (excludes alcohol).
Deputy Adams investigated a complaint that Maynard was passed out beside the poker machines inside Wildcat Mart. The deputy arrived to find Maynard standing, bent over with his knuckles on the ground, and passed out.
“I spoke to [Maynard] several times before he woke up,” Adams said.
When the deputy asked Maynard if he was all right, Maynard allegedly said he was tying his shoes. Adams noted Maynard was wearing slip-on shoes and did not have shoe strings. The officer reported Maynard had slurred speech, glossy bloodshot eyes and kept stating he was not high.
