SALYERSVILLE — The Martin County track team is off and running.

Coach Phillip Harris’ Cardinals competed in their first meet March 30 at Magoffin County High School.

Twenty-three schools competed in the event.

Devan Maynard placed 26th out of 83 runners in the 100-meter dash, while Braxton Maynard finished 30th, Jackson Miller 42nd, Brayden Estepp 55th and Jack Speers 65th.

Miller finished 15th out of 44 runners in the 400-meter dash and 15th out of 45 in the 200-meter dash.

Teammate Bryson Dials finished 25th in the 400-meter and 30th in the 200-meter.
