Facing Hunger drive-thru food distribution Friday in Williamson

MINGO COUNTY, W.Va. — Facing Hunger Foodbank announced it will host a drive-thru mobile food distribution in Williamson at the Armory (209 Co. Hwy 52/27) Friday, April 14.

The distribution list includes meat, produce, dry goods and other nutritious items.

The event begins at 11 a.m. and continues until noon or until the product is gone.

Facing Hunger looks to serve over 200 households on a first-come, first-served basis.

According to Facing Hunger, almost 23% of Mingo County’s population lives with food insecurity, including 32% of the county’s children.
