Martin County Arrest Report

INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s office reported the following arrests:

Deanna Wiley

Deanna Wiley, 23, of Inez, was arrested Monday on KY-645 for first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, no registration plates and failure to produce insurance card. Chief Deputy Chris Kidd assisted Sheriff Kirk on a traffic stop on Wiley. The deputy reported that Wiley had glassy, bloodshot eyes, had trouble keeping her balance, and failed a field sobriety test. After arresting Wiley, officers found a clear bag containing a crystal substance beside the driver’s seat and a white powdery substance on the key ring. According to the police report, Wiley stated, “It’s supposed to be meth.”

Brandon Mullett

Brandon Mullett, 18, of Inez, was arrested Monday on KY-645 near Eden for possession of marijuana. Deputy Kidd reported Mullett was a passenger in a vehicle during a traffic stop and advised he put a joint under the passenger seat. Officers also seized a small clear bag containing a green leafy substance.

John Stevens

John Stevens, 42, was arrested Saturday on Long Branch in Lovely on a bench warrant for Martin District Court. Deputy David Adams made the arrest.

Robert Dillon

Robert Dillon, 33, of Kermit, West Virginia, was arrested Sunday on Dans Branch in Pilgrim for fourth-degree assault (minor injury), possession of marijuana, first-degree possession of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia-buy/possession. Deputy J.C. Kirk responded to a call about two individuals fighting on the roadway. The deputy reports that when he arrived at the scene, he found Dillon and a female who was bleeding from her head and had marks on her neck. The female advised that Dillon had hit her multiple times. While searching for weapons, Kirk found a bag containing a crystal substance believed to be meth. He also found marijuana and a pipe containing a white substance.

Robert Williamson

Robert Williamson, 64, of Tomahawk, was arrested Friday on Tracefork in Tomahawk for first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree child abuse. Chief Deputy Chris Kidd reported that a female victim presented herself to the sheriff’s office with marks on her neck and scratches. She had two juvenile females with her with scratches and a red hand. The female stated that Williamson assaulted her juvenile daughters, cornered her, threw her to the ground, and strangled her. According to Kidd, DSS removed the two juveniles from the household.

Desirae Dalton

Desirae Dalton, 24, of Inez, was arrested Thursday on Church Fork in Inez for endangering the welfare of a minor. Deputy Kidd went to a residence on Church Fork to serve an EPO and noticed four children in the front room with dirt and mud on their feet, legs and faces. The deputy investigated the residence and found an electrical switch and light sparking and flickering. Kidd noted that the floor had no covering and the subfloor contained exposed nails; wires in the hallway leading to a heater were exposed; and plumbing in the bathroom was not in working order. The children were aged 7, 6, 5 and 1.

Alicia Dalton

Alicia Dalton, 36, of Inez, was arrested Thursday on Church Fork in Inez for endangering the welfare of a minor.

Deputy Kidd went to Dalton’s home to serve an EPO and noticed trash on the property. While talking with Dalton inside the home, he saw several juveniles in the front room with dirt and mud on their feet, legs and faces. The deputy noted that the electrical switch and light in the room were flickering and sparking. He said the floor had no covering and the subfloor had exposed nails. Upon further investigation he found wires in the hallway, leading to a heater, were exposed. The plumbing in the bathroom was not in working order. According to the police report, Dalton had a 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old male in the back room. 

Shannon M. Goble

Shannon M. Goble, 45, of Inez, was arrested Thursday on Right Fork of Little Lick Road, Inez, for public intoxication-controlled substance (excludes alcohol).

Deputy Adams responded to a call to dispatch about a female wandering around on Vineyard Branch off Little Lick, not wearing any clothing. The deputy said he spoke with the caller, who advised he gave Goble a pair of pants and a blanket. According to Adams, Goble was talking out of her head, could not state her date of birth or Social Security number, was unsteady on her feet and could not follow simple directions.

Marcella Spaulding

Marcella Spaulding, 51, of Inez, was arrested April 5 on Dog Pound Road, Inez, on a fugitive from another state warrant out of Wayne County, West Virginia, and traffic charges. Adams made the arrest.

Brandon Rankin

Brandon Rankin, 29, of Debord, was arrested April 5 at the United States Penitentiary Big Sandy, Debord, on a fugitive from another state warrant. Kidd served the warrant.

Ashley N. Iricks

Ashley N. Iricks, 28, of Betsy Layne, was arrested April 5 at Zip Zone on New Route 3, Debord, on a bench warrant for court.

Kody Harless

Kody Harless, 24, of Tomahawk, was arrested April 4 for first-degree possession of heroin, importing carfentanil, fentanyl or fentanyl derivatives, and prescription controlled substance not in proper container.

Deputy Kidd conducted a traffic stop on the owner of a residence at Milo Estates. The police report states the property owner advised officers that a lot of traffic had been coming from the residence and that Harless was staying there. The property owner permitted a police search of the property, where officers discovered a foil containing a black tar substance and a clear bag containing a white powdery substance. According to the police report, a female arrested at the location stated the black tar substance was heroin and “probably has fentanyl in it.”

Brianna K. Ellis

Brianna K. Ellis, 18, of Tomahawk, was arrested April 4 at Milo Estates, Tomahawk, for first-degree possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and importing carfentanil, fentanyl or fentanyl derivatives.

Deputy Kidd conducted a traffic stop on the owner of a residence at Milo Estates. The police report states the property owner advised officers that “a lot of traffic had been coming from the residence” and that Ellis was staying there. The owner permitted a police search of the property, where officers discovered a foil containing a black tar substance and a clear bag containing a white powdery substance. According to the police report, Ellis stated the black tar substance was heroin and “probably has fentanyl in it.”

Ersel Crum

Ersel Crum, 53, of Inez, was arrested April 4 on Route 292 in Inez on a warrant for court. Kidd made the arrest.
