INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s office reported the following arrests:

Roy K. Goble, 47, of Lovely, was arrested Monday on Blackberry Road in Debord for criminal trespassing. Chief Deputy Chris Kidd reported Goble was at a residence looking under items on the porch and turning them over. The property owner told officers that Goble had no right to be on his property. When police asked what he was doing and if he would leave, Goble allegedly said over and over that he needed to talk to the homeowner, then rambled off several letters and numbers.

Justin Milan

Justin Milan, 32, of Illinois, was arrested Friday on a fugitive from another state warrant. Kidd made the arrest.

Jimmy D. Jude

Jimmy D. Jude, 43, of Warfield, was arrested Thursday at Dempsey Housing in Warfield on a warrant for theft by failure to make required disposition of property $10,000 or more. Adams made the arrest.

Kevin Gene Fairchild

Kevin Gene Fairchild, 44, of Tomahawk, was arrested Thursday at Redneck Boulevard in Tomahawk for selling or receiving vehicle with removed or altered VIN.

Deputy David Adams responded to a complaint from Sheriff Kirk about a U-Haul truck that had been stolen. Kirk said the box on the truck had been taken off and painted blue and was said to be at Fairchild’s residence.

The officer found the blue box in Fairchild’s driveway. When the officer began looking for a VIN, Fairchild allegedly said he had already looked and that all the VINs had been scraped off. According to Adams, some original paint/sticker showed through and was identifiable as a box from a U-Haul truck.

Fairchild allegedly stated he got the box from Marlon Mollett, who lives on Trace Ridge, after hearing Mollett talk about it in the game room. Fairchild told the deputy that Mollett said someone had stolen the vehicle from the lot somewhere and brought it to his residence, and they had removed the box. He also told Adams that he traded a Yokohama 250 street bike worth $200-300 for the box from the truck to store his other bike in to get it out of the weather.

James Glenn Long, 45, of Tomahawk, was arrested March 22 on Rockhouse Road in Tomahawk on a bench warrant for failure to appear. Adams made the arrest.

Jackie Brian Haney

Jackie Brian Haney, 28, of Inez, was arrested March 22 on Moore Branch Road in Inez for second-degree criminal trespassing, third-degree criminal mischief and terroristic threatening.

Deputy Adams responded to a complaint from a female that Haney was at her residence and refused to leave after she told him to leave several times. The female stated Haney had grabbed her by the throat and arm three or four days prior. She said Haney grabbed her phone and threw it several times through the house, then tried to bend the phone in half breaking it.

The deputy searched the residence but was unable to locate Haney. After the deputy and the female left the residence, Haney called the female’s cellphone from her house phone and asked why she called the law on him. The female allegedly told Haney that she called the law because he grabbed her by the neck and broke her phone. Deputy Adams said Haney replied, “Well if you think that’s bad, just wait. It’s going to get much worse.”

The officer returned to the residence to look for Haney and found him on the hillside hiding, watching the house.

The female stated she did not want Haney to go to jail but did not know what else to do as she feared for her safety. She said Haney needed rehab and was only violent because he was coming off drugs.
