Fresh from local farms to your table

INEZ — Farm 2 Filet is on a mission to transform the local food system and how people get fresh meats to their tables.
Owners Courtney Maynard and Regina Kirk believe everyone should have access to the freshest, high-quality meats direct from local farmers they can trust — because they know them.
The owners celebrate being in business for one year this month, having opened the store in March 2022 at 11 Little Lick Road, Inez.
Farm 2 Filet is a Proud Kentucky member and offers locally-grown and specialty meats containing zero implants, antibiotics, steroids, hormones or growth stimulants.
“We carry beef, pork, chicken and lamb, all of which are raised in Eastern Kentucky,” Maynard said. “And we also offer specialty meats such as elk, bison, duck, pheasant, antelope and alligator. A lot of people don’t realize all that we do offer coming from a small business.”
The store has rubs, seasonings, sauces and meat jerky in stock that shoppers won’t find in a typical grocery or national chain store.
Customers can shop in-store or get their meats delivered.
“We’re competitive with our prices,” said Maynard. “Our difference is you know where your quality meat is coming from. While theirs sits in a truck for a long time before arriving, ours is delivered within a few hours. Now that’s quality.”
