Martin County Arrest Report

INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s office reported the following arrests.

Megan Neidlinger

Megan Neidlinger, 27, of Tomahawk, was arrested Tuesday for contempt of court libel/slander resistance to order.

Homer Evans

Homer Evans, 65, of Lovely, was arrested Tuesday for contempt of court libel/slander resistance to order.

Jeremy Tyler Jude

Jeremy Tyler Jude, 26, of Tomahawk, was arrested Saturday for theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others $1,000-$10,000. Trooper Smith of the Kentucky State Police Post 9 made the arrest.

Christopher Lee Maynard

Christopher Lee Maynard, 40, of Lovely, was arrested Friday for alcohol intoxication in a public place and criminal mischief. Sheriff Kirk was dispatched on a complaint that Maynard was intoxicated and trying to fight with his family. According to the police report, Maynard was on the porch trying to fight with his brother and father when the sheriff arrived. The sheriff said Maynard had broken the glass out of the entrance door and admitted he had drunk several shots of liquor. The police report noted this was the second time the sheriff had been called to the residence about Maynard being drunk and fighting.

Covey Sweeney

Covey Sweeney, 58, of Inez, was arrested Friday for unauthorized use of motor vehicle and no operator’s-moped license. Deputy Billy Patrick said Sweeney was driving a vehicle without permission that belonged to Bural Scott, who had passed away earlier in the week. The police report states Sweeney ran the car into the ditch, left it on the road, and walked away. Patrick found him at Sweetwater Road. According to Patrick, Sweeney said he was going to get someone to pull him out of the ditch. He also said he did not have a valid operator’s license, and no one had given him permission to drive the vehicle since the owner had passed away.

Derek Lee Blevins, 29, of Lenore, W.Va., was arrested Friday on KY 292 in Lovely for a bench warrant out of Pike District Court. Deputy David Adams made the arrest.

Mary Setser

Mary Setser, 52, of Inez, was arrested Thursday in Inez for a bench warrant out of Martin District Court. Adams made the arrest.

Marquita Fleming

Marquita Fleming, 34, of Dingess, W.Va., was arrested Thursday at Family Dollar in Warfield on a bench warrant for court. Chief Deputy Chris Kidd made the arrest.

Nikey Goble

Nickey Goble, 52, of Debord, was arrested Thursday on a bench warrant. Kidd made the arrest.
