INEZ – On March 22, Downtown Strategies will be hosting a community input session at the Martin County Fiscal Court from 6 to 7:30 p.m. to help determine goals for a downtown revitalization plan.

Hired using AEP grant funds through One East Kentucky, Downtown Strategies is part of a consulting firm Retail Strategies, based out of Birmingham, Alabama. Retail Strategies is an economic development agency that specializes in developing downtown areas and is preparing a “market-driven, asset-based and implementable strategic plan for growth, economic impact and progress” for the City of Inez.

To help prepare an economic development plan for Inez, Downtown Strategies is hosting this community input session while they tour Martin County to better assess the community’s wants and needs.

“This meeting is the first stakeholder input session and your contribution to this effort would be very meaningful,” said Martin County Deputy Judge Carolea Mills.

All Martin Countians are welcome to attend the meeting to voice concerns and ideas for new business recruitment and other economic development in Inez.
