Martin County students excel in East Kentucky Regional Science & Engineering Fair
East Kentucky Regional Science & Engineering Fair winners. The annual event includes students from Martin, Breathitt, Floyd, Johnson, Knott, Lee, Letcher, Magoffin, Menifee, Morgan, Owsley, Perry, Pike and Wolfe counties.
Eden Elementary student Olivia Maynard’s prize-winning “Let’s Take Charge” entry in the East Kentucky Regional Science & Engineering Fair. The EKRSEF is an annual regional science fair hosted by the East KY Science Center & Varia Planetarium for students in 4th-12th grades who win first place at their school fair. The regional is conducted at Big Sandy Community & Technical College.
Eden Elementary School’s Olivia Maynard shows off her award after she placed first in the East Kentucky Regional Science & Engineering Fair. Maynard competed in a lumped category, including high school students up to grade 12.
Martin County Middle School student Knox Maynard is moving on to state after placing second in the East Kentucky Regional Science & Engineering Fair.
Martin County Middle School students Faith Caldwell and Mia Preece post in front of the East Kentucky Science Center. The two will compete in the state science fair.
