Bonnie Sue Bowen Crum

1949—2023

Bonnie Sue Bowen Crum, age 74, gained her wings Thursday, March 2, 2023 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky, surrounded by her loving family and husband of 55 years.

Born Feb. 7, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Everette and Virgie Bowen. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Vernon, Lowell and Gary Lee Bowen.

Bonnie leaves behind her loving family: husband, Lawrence Cruml daughter, Donna (Crum) Maynard; special nephew who was more like her son, Charles Anthony Bowen; two grandchildren, Marissa Leigh Maynard and Timothy Shane Maynard; and two great-granddaughters who she loved dearly, Emma Claire Nicolas and Pailyn Amrielle Maynard. She also leaves behind three sisters, Geneva Whitt of Beckley, West Virginia, Emma Jean Bowen of Kenova, West Virginia, and Jannette Bowen of Flat Woods; two brothers, Conley (Jay) Bowen of Louisa and Lloyd Bowen of Old Route 3; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Per Bonnie’s wishes, there will be no funeral. The immediate family had a private viewing Sunday at Callaham Funeral Home in Warfield. A private graveside service followed under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
