Roberta Lea Muncy

1959—2023

Roberta Lea Muncy, 63, of Kermit, West Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

She was born Nov. 9, 1959, in Mingo County to Richard Maynard and the late Roberta Sturgell Maynard. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Muncy, two brothers and one sister. 

Roberta is survived by her father, Richard Maynard of Kermit; children, Pierre Giacomoni of Las Angeles, California, Seth Muncy of Orville, Ohio, Ben Sartin of Groveport, Ohio, Lara Davis of Kermit and Blake Spaulding; and six grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Ann Farley and special family, Rick Smith, Pam Sutherland and Barb Fletcher. 

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at the Warfield Chapel of the Callaham Funeral Home. Burial was at the Maynard Cemetery in Pilgrim, Kentucky, under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, Kentucky.
