Martin County grand jury indicts three for drug charges

INEZ, Ky. — A Martin County grand jury returned indictments Feb. 22 against three individuals for drug-related charges.

Brandon P. Kirk, 33, of Warfield, was indicted for first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense, second-degree possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication (excludes alcohol).

The indictment states Kirk had methamphetamine and buprenorphine and was in a public place under the influence of a controlled substance Feb. 8.

Martin County Circuit Judge J. Kevin Holbrook issued a summons for Kirk to appear for arraignment March 2 at 10 a.m.

Stephanie N. Chafin, 28, of Louisa, was indicted for first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense. The indictment accuses Chafin of having methamphetamine Jan. 26.

The judge issued a summons for Chafin to appear for arraignment March 2 at 10 a.m.

Herman J. Endicott, 52, of Inez, was indicted for first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second offense and possession of marijuana.

The indictment states Endicott had methamphetamine and marijuana Feb. 10.

Endicott’s arraignment is set for March 2 at 10 a.m.

Endicott is charged in a separate indictment with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second offense, second-degree possession of a controlled substance and third-degree possession of a controlled substance.

The indictment states Endicott had methamphetamine, buprenorphine, pregabalin, clonazepam, diazepam and gabapentin Jan. 20.

Endicott’s arraignment for the second indictment is scheduled for March 2 at 10 a.m.
