Harrison “Duke” Duard Gartin
1936—2023

Harrison “Duke” Duard Gartin, age 86, of Louisa, KY, passed away February 13, 2023 at The Sanctuary of the Ohio in Ironton, OH. He was born September 5, 1936 in Ethel, WV to the late Frank and Maudie McNeely Gartin. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sons, Roger Gartin and Ricky Gartin, six brothers, Alfred Gartin, James Gartin, Chester Gartin, Allen Gartin, Glenn Gartin, and Darrel Gartin, and three sisters, Rosalee Gartin Mounts, Faye Gartin Sparks, and Alta Mae Gartin Fitzpatrick. He is survived by his wife, Judy K. Mills Gartin, one son, Gary (Lyn Marie) Gartin of Circleville, OH, two daughters, Regina (Ryan) Sumpter and Nicole (Brandon) Smith, one brother, Danny Gartin of Louisa, KY, and one sister, Bonnie Gartin (Gary) Boggs of Utah. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 1 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Garrett Mills and Donnie Ratcliff officiating. Burial will follow at the Mills Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday and Sunday from 5 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
