WARFIELD — Science fairs are designed to encourage students, parents, teachers and the community to take a more active interest in the study of science. Martin County Middle School provided this opportunity to their students over the past month, allowing them to investigate a topic by utilizing the scientific method process.
Students acquired research, formed hypotheses, conducted experiments, collected data and came up with their conclusions throughout the month.
On Feb. 7, the 2022-2023 Martin County Middle School Annual Science Fair was conducted under the direction of seventh and eighth-grade science teachers Denise Butcher and Dovi Blackburn. In front of a panel of judges, students presented their projects and were recognized and awarded for the effort they put into their scientific endeavors.
Butcher, Blackburn and the entire Martin County Middle School staff thank all the judges who took time out of their busy schedules to score student presentations and everyone who helped make this year’s Martin County Middle School Science Fair a success.
