William Henry Maynard

1956—2023

William Henry Maynard, 66, of Inez, went home to be with the Lord Friday, Jan. 20, 2023 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.

Born April 22, 1956 in Louisa, he was the son of the late Roy and Pauline Horn Maynard. He is preceded in death by his son, William Curtis and siblings, Roy Dean (PeeWee) Maynard and Martha Mae Copley.

William was a carpenter by trade and a Christian of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his son, Roy Michael Maynard and daughter, Candy Sue Maynard, both of Tomahawk, and three grandchildren, Tennis and Kyle Preston and Aniyah Brooklyn. He also leaves behind his sisters, Sue Carter of Marengo, Ohio, and Ollie Allen and Tena Jarrell, both of Melbourne, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Chelsea; sister-in-law, Lilly Maynard; and a host of extended family and friends.

Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023 at the Maynard Cemetery on Turkey Creek Road, Inez, with Joe Mullins officiating. Mullins Family Funeral Home of Warfield is honored to serve the family.
