Crum allegedly advised he had just left a friend’s house and was taking a girl home to Johnson County who was passed out in his vehicle.

The police report states that after Adams conducted field sobriety tests and advised Crum that he showed clues of impairment, Crum admitted drinking “a couple beers.” Once arrested, “[Crum] stated he worked for the mayor of Johnson County, knew the judges and county attorney … his boss can make a few phone calls, and he will be out of jail and that the judge will throw out the DUI.” Crum’s breath test was 0.087.
