Lloyd Thomas Ward

1969—2023

Lloyd Thomas Ward, 53, of Genoa, W.Va., passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville.

Born Feb. 16, 1969 in Logan, W.Va., he was the son of the late Lloyd and Sally Kirk Ward. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Peggy Miller, Sadie Perry and James Kirk.

Lloyd was a logger and construction worker by trade and a Christian.

Survivors include his children, Thomas Allen Ward of Ft. Gay, W.Va., Danny Ray Ward of Genoa, W.Va., and Isabella Ward of North Carolina; and six grandchildren, Aubree Charlotte Blankenship, Thomas Allen Ward, Gracelynn Ward, Brayden, Caden and Makiah. Additional survivors include his siblings, Luke Allen Ward of Lovely and Ora Lee Hunley of East Lynn, W.Va.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-noon Friday, Jan. 20, 2023 at the Mullins Family Funeral Home, with funeral services conducted at noon. Joe Mullins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Ward Cemetery on South Hollow Road off Marrowbone. Mullins Family Funeral Home of Warfield is honored to serve the family.
