Janice Lee Blackburn

1968—2023

Janice Lee Blackburn, 54, of Kermit, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023 at Tug Valley ARH in South Williamson.

Born Jan. 28, 1968 in Mingo County, she was the daughter of Brenda Hobbs Blackburn and the late Jasper Blackburn. 

In addition to her mother, Janice is survived by four siblings, Linda (Scott) Moore, James Blackburn, Christopher Mikey (Tina) Blackburn and Billy (Renee) Blackburn, all of Kermit, W.Va.; six nieces and nephews, Lea Blackburn, McKenna (Logan) Presley, Brittany Moore, Kassady Dillon, Brandon Moore, Nik Blackburn and Cole Blackburn; and great-nieces and nephews, Lennyn, Georgia, Kolson and Ryland. She is also survived by a special friend, Danny Hall. 

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023 at the Kermit Freewill Baptist Church with Walter Marcum officiating. Burial was at the Blackburn Cemetery in Kermit, under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
