WARFIELD — Two residents were arrested for alleged domestic violence at Riverside Apartments at Warfield.
Martin County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Kidd was dispatched Friday to the apartment complex after a fight between a male and female was reported to 911. Upon arrival, the deputy encountered Betty Allen, 30, of Pilgrim, and Douglas Chapman, 39, of Warfield, who both had minor injuries they allegedly sustained in an altercation with each other.
The criminal complaint states Chapman suffered a bleeding cut to his leg and a scratch on his right arm. Allen had a scratch on and above her eye and had mud on her lower extremities which she said was from Chapman throwing her to the ground. Both parties declined medical treatment.
The two were charged with assault, fourth degree (minor injury) and were transported to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville.
