Sally Mae (Johnson) Porter

1959—2022

Sally Mae Johnson Porter, 63, of Inez, passed away Dec. 18, 2022 at her residence.

She was born June 9, 1959 in Lawrence County to the late Irvin and Gladys Booth Johnson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Luther Porter, her son, Jamie Lee Porter, and one brother, Willard Johnson.

She is survived by her two daughters, Angela Marie Porter and Misty (Robert) Dillon, both of Inez, daughter-in-law Holly Porter of Inez and brothers Jackie (Sylvia) Johnson and William Daniel (Debra) Johnson, both of Inez. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Teirra Lynn (David) Noel, Jasmine Porter, Angel Porter, Kaitlin Dingess, Joshua Dingess, Luther Dingess, Caleb Dingess, Lucas Dillon and Erica Dillon, and four great-grandchildren, Lennox Olivander Brown, Soren Harlow Noel, Presley Dial and Donovan Evans.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022 at the Vineyard United Baptist Church with Richard (Doc) Maynard and Dave Bowen officiating. Burial will follow at the Porter-Johnson Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
