Roscoe Chafin

1941—2022

Roscoe Chafin, 81, of Joe’s Creek Road, Pikeville, formerly of Middle Burning Creek, Kermit, W.Va., passed away Nov. 24, 2022, at his home.

He was born March 3, 1941, in Mingo County, W.Va., the son of the Late Nick and Virginia Grace Chafin. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings Raymond and Ira Chafin.

Roscoe was a mechanic for United Airlines and a United States Airforce veteran.

Survivors include his niece, Julie Sullivan-Pack of Kermit, W.Va., and a host of extended family, friends and relatives.

Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022, at the Chafin Cemetery on Middle Burning Creek, with Joe Mullins officiating. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
