Woman killed, juveniles injured in Inez crash

INEZ — A woman was killed and three juveniles were injured in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on Turkey Creek Road in Inez.

Officials at the scene said the vehicle left the roadway and traveled a short distance before crashing over the creek bank and striking a tree.

The driver, 58-year-old Wanda Davis of Dempsey Hollow, Inez, was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:44 a.m. by Martin County Coroner Chris Todd. The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.

The three children were transported to Cabell-Huntington Hospital.

Officers said the driver was not wearing a seat belt.
