Rhonda Maynard

1966—2022

Rhonda Maynard, 56, of Warfield, passed away Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022, at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.

She was born July 29, 1966, in Louisa to Ronnie Mills and the late Mary Linda Crum. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her second husband, Homer Maynard.

Survivors include Rhonda’s father, Ronnie Mills; life partner, Jerry Carter; children, Dwan Marcum of Crum, W.Va., Marrissa Maynard of Kermit, W.Va., and Homer Ray Mills of Inez; step-children, Branden Carter, Kendra Carter and Amanda Messer; grandchildren, Samuel Maynard, Alexander Maynard, John Lonnie Messer, Scarlett Moore, James Maynard, Blake Scott, Alyssa Scott, Jayden Maynard, Ashley Maynard, Jayson Maynard, Jordan Messer, Amiyah Messer, Kentley Marcum, Gracelyn Marcum, Michaella Marcum, Anna Avaree Chapman, George Chapman and an unborn grandson (February 2023) Brandon Marcum Jr.; step-grandchildren, Tamara Carter and Aubrey Carter; and her beloved cats, CJ and JC. Additional survivors include her siblings, Eddie Mills and Lois Montgomery, both of Elizabethtown, Ryan Mills of Tennessee, Anthony Mills of McAndrews, and step-sister Kayla Huffman of Belfry.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
