Gladolia Evans

1927—2022

Gladolia Evans, 94, of Lenore, W.Va. (formerly of Lovely), passed away peacefully Oct. 26, 2022, at the Martin County Health Care Facility, Inez.

She was born Nov. 14, 1927, to the late Lonnie and Cordie Murphy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Evans and a son, Randell. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Emma Evans, Laura Step, Rhoda Preece, Troy Murphy, Henry Murphy, Steve Murphy and Paul Murphy.

She was a former employee for Brewer Supermarket in Naugatuck, W.Va.

Gladolia is survived by two children, Kaye (Joe) Deskins of Lenore, W.Va., and Mike (Regina) Evans of Fayetteville, Ga.; grandchildren Eric Deskins of Lexington and Claudette (Brad) Varney of Sidney; great-grandchildren Evan, Kennedy, Kate, Ian, Nicholas and Cooper. She is also survived by one sibling, Lafe Murphy of Lovely.

Gladolia attended East Kermit Church of God until her health prevented her attendance.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022, at the Mullins Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2022. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens in Maher, W.Va. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
