Voting underway in clerk’s office

INEZ — Voting in the General Election is underway in the Martin County Clerk’s Office.

Excused absentee early voting runs from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Oct. 26-28 and Oct. 31-Nov. 2.

Martin County Clerk Susie Skyles says voters who are elderly or disabled, work outside the county, attend school full-time and will not be able to vote in person on Election Day are eligible to vote during these dates.

The clerk reminds voters that in-person no-excuse absentee early voting is Nov. 3-5 in her office. The hours are 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. Nov. 3-4. Hours for Nov. 5 are 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

“All voters are eligible to cast an early ballot with no excuse necessary,” Skyles said.

Election Day Nov. 8 is the last chance to vote in the General Election. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Martin County voters can vote at any of four Election Day polling centers:

● Pigeon Roost Community Center

● Martin County Middle School

● Inez Elementary School

● Eden Elementary School

Absentee mail-in ballots must be turned in by 6 p.m. Nov. 8.
