R Lena (Delong) Sosa

1949—2022

R Lena Sosa, age 73, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Oct. 18, 2022, at her residence.

Born April 30, 1949, in Martin County, she was the daughter of the late Babe and Hazel Moore Delong. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Sosa, one brother, Phillip Delong, and two sisters, Rose Jude and Jewell Luster.

Survivors include one son, John Sosa of Columbus, Ohio, and one sister, Della Simpkins of Arizona. Additional survivors include two grandchildren, Matthew (Kaylee) Sosa and Phillip (Hollie) Sosa; four great-grandchildren, Nova Lena, Odin, Xander and Nora Lee; her niece, Kim Endicott; and nephew, Henderson Jude.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, in the Crum Funeral Home chapel, with Richard “Doc” Maynard and David Bowen officiating. Burial was in the Delong Family Cemetery, under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
