Martin County Arrest Report

INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:

Floyd Luster III

Floyd Luster III, 30, of Inez, was arrested Tuesday for probation violation (for a felony offense). Deputy Chris Kidd made the arrest.

Michael Harmon

Michael Harmon, 33, of Louisa, was arrested Monday in Warfield for third-degree criminal trespassing and a bench warrant for court. According to the police report, Deputy Kidd went to Dempsey Housing with DSS on a child welfare check, where Harmon answered the door and stated he knew he had a warrant and was barred from Dempsey.

Brandy Perkins

Brandy Perkins, 27, of Beauty, was arrested Monday in Inez on three bench warrants for court. Kidd made the arrest.

Lonnie Jude

Lonnie Jude, 46, of Pilgrim, was arrested Monday in Inez on a warrant. Kidd made the arrest.

Betty Allen

Betty Allen, 30, of Pilgrim, was arrested Friday in Lovely for wanton endangerment and a bench warrant for court. Deputy Kidd was serving a bench warrant at a residence in Lovely, where he found Allem in an unfinished basement with her two children, ages 2 and 3. According to the police report, the deputy saw a syringe and needle on the floor where the kids were playing.

“The conditions inside the basement were not suitable for the kids to be in,” Kidd reported.

The deputy contacted DSS, and both children were removed.

Kimberly Sartin

Kimberly Sartin, 47, of Beauty, was arrested Friday in Beauty for public intoxication. Deputy Kidd responded to Gordon Road to assist NetCare in a possible overdose. The deputy stated that while he was on the scene, Sartin came up the driveway yelling and having trouble walking, could not perform any field sobriety test, and told the officer that she only “smoked weed.”

Homer R. Mills (Maynard)

Homer R. Mills (Maynard), 33, of Tomahawk, was arrested Friday in Lovely on a bench warrant for court. Kidd made the arrest.

Donnie Hopson

Donnie Hopson, 73, of Holden, W.Va., was arrested Friday on Little Rockcastle Road, Inez, for alcohol intoxication in a public place. Constable Brad Preece responded to a call about an accident on Route 2032 in front of Thickety Fork. The officer reported that he found Hopson sitting on the guardrail and a truck with the engine running stuck on the guardrail. Preece stated Hopson had slurred speech and trouble standing. According to the report, Hopson told the officer that he wasn’t driving – that a friend was driving and had taken off. Preece said he observed an open container of beer in the driver’s side cupholder.

Jason Vanover

Jason Vanover, 44, of Tomahawk, was arrested Friday in Inez for public intoxication and drug paraphernalia. Deputy Kidd observed Vanover outside Horn’s BP on Route 645 going through a vehicle. The police report states Vanover appeared nervous, had trouble keeping his balance and failed a field sobriety test. According to Kidd, Vanover said that “meth and weed would be things that showed up in his bloodwork.” In a post-arrest search, the officer found a glass pipe in the passenger seat of a vehicle parked at Horn’s BP.

Martin T. Howell

Martin T. Howell, 44, of Inez, was arrested Thursday in Lovely for two bench warrants. Deputy David Adams made the arrest.

Ronald C. Crum

Ronald C. Crum, 44, of Tomahawk, was arrested Thursday in Tomahawk for resisting arrest, fleeing or evading police (on foot) and a bench warrant for court. Deputy Kidd reported when he went to a residence on Shirley Moore Drive to serve a warrant on Crum, Crum ran out the back door and went behind two houses. According to the police report, the deputy found Crum hiding in tall weeds and instructed him to show his hands. Crum tried to run again but fell down the hill toward the officers. Kidd reported that Crum would not give his hands and held them in front of his body on the ground. He was arrested “with minimal necessary force.”

Dennis Harris

Dennis Harris, 52, of Debord, was arrested Thursday at the United States Penitentiary Big Sandy on a fugitive from another state warrant. Kidd served the warrant.

Regina Cline

Regina Cline, 47, of Inez, was arrested Sept. 27 for contempt of court libel/slander resistance to order.

James Hackney

James Hackney, 39, of Lovely, was arrested Sept. 27 for contempt of court libel/slander resistance to order.
