Lonnie Jude

1952—2022

Lonnie Jude, 70, of Lovely, passed away Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, at Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg.

Born Jan. 22, 1952, in Martin County, he was the son of Lillie Stacy Jude and the late Elijah Jude. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by one son, John Edwards Jude, and a sister, Josephine Jude.

Lonnie is survived by his mother, Lillie and stepfather, Herman Staton; three children, Lonnie Ray Jude of Lovely, Sissy (Robbie) Whitt of Ulysses and Mattie (Carmel) Stacy of Inez; a special grandson, Shawn (Amber) Moore; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by nine siblings, Jamie Jude, Ray Jude, Elijah Jude Jr., Johnny Jude, Phil Jude, Earl Jude, Bill Jude, Jenny Robinson and Irene Jude, and a special cousin, Roy Jude.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, at Callaham Funeral Home in Inez, with Dalbo Stacy and Buddy Stacy officiating. Burial will follow at the Jude and Stacy Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home Friday and Saturday 6-9 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
