Cardinals make splash with 46-0 win over Bath County

OWINGSVILLE — Martin County (3-2) came out clean Friday night with a 46-0 road victory over Bath County (1-4).

This was the second shutout win in a row for the Cardinals after they defeated Knott County Central 41-0 in a game Sept. 9.

Five Cardinals put points on the board for Martin County.

Brock Messer led the team in rushing. He picked up 188 yards on seven attempts, with 67 of those yards being one of his two touchdown runs.

Messer also booted in four point-after attempts.

Senior running back Dawson Mills hit the paydirt twice and rushed for 81 yards on four attempts.
