Kentucky football has moved to No. 7 in the AP poll.
You read that right.
Football.
Did Cal’s comments motivate this team just the right amount?
As good as we have looked this season, the Northern Illinois game revealed some weaknesses.
The O-line has to get better at protecting Levis. A team like Georgia will see that and take advantage of it with constant pressure at the line.
A good thing is that we have a quarterback who can pass and take off for a run when he sees fit.
Enjoy him this season because he will be going pro.
He was 10 for 10 on third down for 237 yards.
“Trust in Stoops” is our motto now.
Fun fact: If you are under the age of 40, this is the highest you have seen Kentucky football ranked.
Ole Miss is coming up this weekend, and Vegas has them winning.
It’s going to be a true road game in a hostile environment. This will be a matchup that proves who we are. A win could even move us into the top 5.
Hopefully, the Cats will pull out a win.
Marlie Fletcher
As of my press deadline, I don’t know a lot of details about the situation, but I do know that Marlie Fletcher, the senior goalkeeper for the Martin County soccer team, was in a serious car accident and was in surgery to repair her arm. She was set to play in two weeks as the starting goalie in Martin County’s first-ever region tournament berth.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Fletcher last week. She was all smiles and ecstatic about the upcoming tournament games.
Marlie may not be able to finish her season, but I’m sure she will be cheering on her teammates.
The Lavish Cow is donating portions of the proceeds of Monday’s sales to Marlie for future surgeries. Please consider donating to her family if you can, as she will have an extensive recovery process.
Marlie, you’ve already made history. You led your team to the 1-seed and an automatic region tournament bid for the first time ever. Here’s to a speedy and healthy recovery.
