INEZ — A majority of Kentucky families who received P-EBT benefits during the COVID-19 pandemic for children received $391 per child on their state-issued P-EBT cards Sept. 21.

The deposit covers the summer months when school was not in session.

The benefits are for children under 6 who receive SNAP, students who received free or reduced school lunch as of May 2022, and new students identified by the KDE from June 1 through Aug. 31.

According to the Kentucky Voices for Health website, the benefits were deposited on the P-EBT cards or the SNAP benefit cards on Sept. 21 but may show up as late as Oct. 1.

If you do not receive SNAP, have misplaced or lost your child’s P-EBT card, or have never had one, call the DCBS office at 1-855-306-8959 to request a new card. You may be required to have proof of school enrollment for each child.
