CITIZEN STAFF REPORT
GRAYSON — A man wanted for a large number of thefts in the Grayson area was arrested last week after an off-duty state trooper saw him enter a residence on Midland Trail in Grayson.
Kentucky State Police Post 14 reported that Troopers Tyler Daniels and Wes Music responded to the report Aug. 7. The officers searched the residence and found 41-year-old Eric Justice of Grayson hiding under the bed. After numerous attempts to get the suspect to exit from under the bed, Music deployed his agency-issued Taser and achieved neuromuscular incapacitation of Justice.
Justice was taken into custody without further incident and lodged in the Carter County Jail.
Justice’s charges include forgery, criminal possession of a forged instrument (identify), theft of identity without others consent, possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine), buy/possession of drug paraphernalia, parole warrant violation, theft by unlawful taking or disposition contents from vehicle, fraudulent use of a credit card, trafficking in controlled substance (over 2 grams methamphetamine) and resisting arrest.
Police said other charges are expected at a later date.
