INEZ — Play of the Week honors go to Ja Quan Rufus, a junior defensive/tight end who transferred to Martin County High School this season.

During Friday night’s Harvest Bowl against Knott County Central, Rufus scored his first Cardinal career touchdown.

Rufus took the toss from behind the line in the third quarter with a 28-0 lead. He saw daylight on his left and turned on the heater as he zoomed past the Patriot defense. Rufus ran 56 yards untouched for a Cardinal touchdown.

Rufus also had 12 tackles and one for a loss against Knott County in a 41-0 Martin County win.
