Esta Arlene Douglass

1923—2022

Esta Arlene Douglass, 99, passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022, at her home in Palmdale, Fla.

Born Jan. 29, 1923, in Omar, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late McKinley Roosevelt and Belle (Slone) Smith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two husbands, Russell Berry and Donald Douglass, and brothers John R. and Phillip Smith.

Survivors include her sister, Verla Sluss of Inez; several nieces and nephews; stepchildren Dawn (Pedro) Vassalo and Gary (Claudia) Douglass; and several step-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Chapmans Mortuary in Huntington, W.Va.
