Bobby Preece

1947—2022

Bobby Preece, 75, of Inez, passed away Aug. 24, 2022, at Community Hospice in Ashland.

Born May 21, 1947, in Martin County, he was the son of the late Abraham and Mirtie Robinson Preece. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Elizabeth Crum Preece; one daughter, Crystal Renea Fletcher; one brother, David Preece; and one sister, Connie Sue Preece.

Survivors include two daughters, Sheila Ann Frey of Inez and Bobbie Jo Wallace of Jeffersonville; three brothers, Donald Lee Preece of Pilgrim, Paul D. Preece of Columbus, Ohio, and Randall Preece of Warfield; and four sisters, Betty Lou Bowers of Louisville, Mary Ruth Sammons and Patsy Ann Preece, both of Warfield, and Brenda Kay Moore of Louisa. Additional survivors include four grandchildren, Brandon Jude, Nathan Frey, Ethan Frey and Black Wallace; a special niece, Paula Jean Newsome; and a special nephew, Evan Newsome.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, in the Crum Funeral Home chapel with Elders Gene Burnett, Walker Fields and Claude Mollett officiating. Burial will follow at the Mountain Valley Memorial Garden on Coldwater Road. Friends may visit the funeral home Friday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
