INEZ — The Mountain Citizen caught up with Martin County High School senior volleyball players Kirsten Wells and Hannah Robinson for a question-and-answer session last week. Here’s what they had to say:
Kirsten Wells
Nickname? Wells.
Hometown? Inez.
How long have you played? Since the fourth grade.
Hobbies, interests? Going to the lake and swimming with her friends, listening to music.
Fave food? Seafood.
Fave restaurant? Chili’s.
Fave place to visit or be? Salem, Mass.
Plans after high school? Sports medicine or physical therapy.
Where do you see yourself in 20 years? Traveling with sports teams as an athletic trainer or own my own PT business.
Fun fact? Drives a standard.
Fave movie/tv show? Shutter Island, American Horror Story, Dexter.
Awards, accomplishments? Academic club and writing competitions. Went to region for writing.
Which superhero would you be? The Flash, so I could run fast.
What would you do with $10 million? Buy lots of cars.
Shoutouts? To my parents for always supporting me and believing in me, people who put time into making volleyball grow and those who came before me.
Hannah Robinson
Hometown? Beauty.
How long have you played? Since fifth grade.
Hobbies, interests? Cheerleading, spending time with my baby sister Sophie, I love cats, hang out with my boyfriend.
Fave food? Chicken and dumplings, but they have to be salty.
Fave restaurant? Olive Garden or Texas Roadhouse.
Fave place to visit or be? The beach or hanging out with my friends.
Plans after high school? Go to college.
Where do you see yourself in 20 years? With a family, and be a teacher or pediatric dentist.
Fun fact? My arm twists all the way around.
Fave movie/tv show? Grey’s Anatomy or any baking competition.
Fave quote? You haven’t failed until you’ve stopped trying.
Awards, accomplishments? Second in my class.
Which superhero would you be? Spiderman, even though I don’t really watch those movies.
What would you do with $10 million? A black and white house, KIA K5 grey car, buy my mom and dad and grandma a new house.
Shoutouts? Alyssa McCoy, a senior from class 2022, helps encourage me to be the best I can be and is someone who I look up to so very much.
